What's New
We deliver updates and improvements to YouTrack continuously. Here's an overview of the changes that are available in this version.
New Features
Feature | Description |
|---|---|
YouTrack now provides support for an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, making it easy to connect with AI-powered tools. This lets you access information stored in YouTrack, create and update issues, and perform other predefined actions without leaving your favorite LLM, IDE, or agent platform. These actions are accessible from our built-in JavaScript editor, which means you can script your own custom tools. | |
Our built-in writing assistant now supports AI-powered text completion, suggesting context-aware words and phrases as you type. Save time, reduce effort, and ensure every sentence is clear and consistent. | |
We've added a new widget for dashboards and project overview pages that lets you display customizable lists of issues and knowledge base articles. Use it to highlight important items and keep key information visible for everyone on your team. |
Other Enhancements
Feature | Description |
|---|---|
Our issue search engine has been upgraded with machine learning for smarter results. The system ranks issues using signals like freshness, user interactions, and personal relevance to highlight the most important matches, delivering more accurate results than keyword search alone. | |
You can now view messages from the notification center on a dedicated page. This makes it easier to scan the list of messages and stay organized without distractions. | |
We've also added customizable conditions for widgets, so app developers can ensure they appear only when relevant. | |
Administrators can now invite new users directly when assigning issues, making it even easier to bring teams together. | |
Updated Settings for AI Features | We've updated the settings page for the AI Assistant to give administrators more control over which features are active for your YouTrack site. We also added a dedicated tab to the profile settings so each user can choose which features are active for their own account.
|
We have removed the Share Custom View permission and have replaced it with an optional, globally managed feature. This means you can control which users can update settings that allow others to view, use, or edit tags, saved searches, boards, dashboards, and Gantt charts in one place. | |
New group settings let you grant read and update access to members of specific groups. Additionally, group-related permissions are now applied at the global level. This means you can provide users with consistent access across all projects in the system while maintaining the option to assign group-specific access on a per-group basis. |
