# Publish an Article

When you are ready to share an article with your target audience, you can publish it to the knowledge base.

Procedure: To publish an article:

> Requires permissions: Read Article, Update Article

1. From the main navigation menu, select ![](https://resources.jetbrains.com.cn/help/img/youtrack/2026.2/knowledge-base.svg) Knowledge Base.

2. Open an article draft.

3. Review the current visibility setting to make sure the article will be available to your target audience when published.

4. Click the Select project and publish button.

* Select a project from the drop-down list.

The article is published to the selected project immediately.
