Install an App from Marketplace
YouTrack administrators can install apps directly from JetBrains Marketplace when the YouTrack site can connect to Marketplace. Apps installed this way remain linked to Marketplace, so YouTrack can show and install updates when a new app version is published.
You can still upload a ZIP file manually for custom apps that aren't distributed through Marketplace.
Before You Start
Make sure your YouTrack site has internet access to JetBrains Marketplace.
Sign in to YouTrack with an account that has permission to update app content. System administrators with the Low-level Admin Write permission can install and update Marketplace apps, including apps with global modules.
If you want to install an app package that isn't published in Marketplace, upload the app ZIP file manually instead. For details, see Upload the App to YouTrack.
To install an app from JetBrains Marketplace:
In YouTrack, open Administration > Apps.
Click Add app... and select Browse JetBrains Marketplace.
In JetBrains Marketplace, find the app you want to install.
Open the app page and start the installation for your YouTrack site.
In the Install App dialog in YouTrack, review the app details and click Install.
The app is added to the Apps page in YouTrack.
If an app with the same name was uploaded manually, installing the Marketplace app overwrites the existing app.
Update Marketplace Apps
When an installed app has a Marketplace link, YouTrack can check whether a newer version is available. On the Apps page, open the app actions menu and select Check for updates. If an update is available, install it from YouTrack.
Marketplace apps are updated from Marketplace packages. For custom apps that aren't distributed through Marketplace, upload the app as a ZIP file instead.
