Inspectopedia 2025.3 Help

Remove redundant path variable name declaration

Reports redundant @PathVariable name declaration when it matches a parameter name. The quick-fix removes the explicit name attribute from the annotation.

Example:

@GetMapping("/{orderId}") public Order getOrder(@PathVariable("orderId") Long orderId) return return orderRepository.findOne(orderId); }

After the quick-fix is applied the result looks like:

@GetMapping("/{orderId}") public Order getOrder(@PathVariable Long orderId) return orderRepository.findOne(orderId); }
