Inspectopedia 2025.2 Help

Redundant modality modifier

Reports the modality modifiers that match the default modality of an element (final for most elements, open for members with an override).

Example:

final class Foo open class Bar : Comparable<Bar> { open override fun compareTo(other: Bar): Int = 0 }

After the quick-fix is applied:

class Foo open class Bar : Comparable<Bar> { override fun compareTo(other: Bar): Int = 0 }
