# Database tool window

## Filter

Remember whether the filter is ON
: Keeps the [speed search](speed-search-in-the-tool-windows.html) filter in  Database   enabled for the next searches after you escape the current one by pressing `Escape` (Windows), `⎋` (macOS), `⎋` (IntelliJ IDEA Classic (macOS)), `⎋` (macOS System Shortcuts), `Escape` (XWin), `Escape` (GNOME), `Escape` (KDE), `Escape, Escape` (Emacs), `Escape` (Sublime Text), `⎋` (Sublime Text (macOS)), `Escape` (NetBeans), `Escape` (Visual Studio), `⎋` (Visual Studio (macOS)), `Escape` (Eclipse), `⎋` (Eclipse (macOS)).

## Database Colors

Show database colors
: Toggles the database colors display everywhere in the user interface.

Database tool window
: Select the checkbox to apply a color to the database node.
