Summarize text

Grazie can provide a short summary, only the essential parts of a long text. This can be useful when writing an abstract for a blog post, a presentation, or an article.

To summarize a text:

Select the text that you want to summarize and click the Grazie icon that appears
Click the Summarize option in the text selection menu.
To cancel the process, click the Dismiss button in the dialog that appears or press Esc.
Choose one of the following options in the Summarize dialog:
- Click the Replace button or press Enter to replace the highlighted text with the generated summary.
- Click the Paste after button or press Shift+Enter to insert the summary after the highlighted text.

The following options are also available in the Summarize dialog with the generated text:

Option	Description
Refresh	Click the Refresh icon to regenerate the text. All the previously generated variants remain available. To cancel the process, click the Stop button or press `Esc` in the dialog.
Previous and next version	Click the Previous and Next icons to switch between the generated variants. The option may not be available the first time Grazie rewrites the text.
Like and dislike	Click the Like or Dislike icon to share your reaction to the generated text.
Close	Click the Close icon to close the dialog. Alternatively, click outside the dialog or press `Esc` to close it.
