# Quickstart

JetBrains Central CLI is a proxy that lets you run supported AI coding agents — Claude Agent, Codex, Gemini CLI, Junie CLI, and Pi — through JetBrains Central with your JetBrains Account. To learn more, see [About](cli-about.html).

## Requirements

* macOS, Linux, or Windows

* Any modern browser

* JetBrains Account with an active AI subscription

* Network access to `*.jetbrains.com`, `*.jetbrains.ai`, and `*.grazie.ai`

* At least one supported agent: Claude Agent, Codex, Gemini CLI, Junie CLI (GA build), or Pi

JetBrains Central CLI configures agents but does not install them. For the install command for each agent, see [Install the agents you want to use](cli-setup.html#install-agents). To check what is supported for each agent, see [Supported agents and features](cli-supported-agents-and-features.html).

## Install JetBrains Central CLI

macOS or Linux:

```BASH
curl -fsSL https://central-cli.labs.jb.gg/install.sh | bash
```

Windows (PowerShell):

```POWERSHELL
irm https://central-cli.labs.jb.gg/install.ps1 | iex
```

Windows (cmd):

```TEXT
curl -fsSL -o %TEMP%\install.cmd https://central-cli.labs.jb.gg/install.cmd && %TEMP%\install.cmd
```

To verify, check the version:

```TEXT
central --version
```

## Log in

After you install JetBrains Central CLI, log in with your JetBrains Account:

central login
```

On first launch, JetBrains Central CLI opens your browser for JetBrains login. If your account has more than one enabled AI access source, choose the workspace or license you want this machine to use.

You stay logged in across sessions and reboots. To see or change your AI access source later, or to log out, see [Log in](cli-setup.html#log-in) and [central access](cli-commands.html#central-access). If the browser never returns, see [Login issues](troubleshooting.html#login-issues).

## Connect agents

Once you are logged in, connect the agents you want to use:

Claude Agent:

central add claude
```

Codex:

```TEXT
central add codex
```

Gemini CLI:

```TEXT
central add gemini
```

Junie CLI:

```TEXT
central add junie
```

Pi:

```TEXT
central add pi
```

## Use agents

Once an agent is connected, run it as usual.

Claude Agent:

```TEXT
claude "explain this code"
```

Codex:

```TEXT
codex "refactor this function"
```

Gemini CLI:

```TEXT
gemini "review this PR"
```

Junie CLI:

```TEXT
junie "explain this code"
```

Pi:

```TEXT
pi "refactor this function"
```

## Check status and usage

To see the authentication state, proxy status, and which agents are wired:

```TEXT
central status
```

To see your current AI credit usage:

```TEXT
central limit
```

To launch the [interactive interface:](cli-about.html#interfaces)

```TEXT
central
```
